Outer Olympus

Mystical poem written 9-25-25.

1.
What have I shown you? Love?
There is a demon in me,
Cruel and merciless,
Always on-mission

I am ready,
To take us all to Hell,
To release striving rage,
Born of aeons of suffering

That part of me is the Enemy,
The Accuser,
Who would have,
No sovereign before her

I am pitiless,
Even as my heart,
Breaks daily,
To let out sweetness

2.
What am I to do,
But what I was made for?
I’ll give it all,
To save even a few

To seek and serve the Good,
To Serve, to Suffer, and to Love,
To do whatever it takes,
To get the job done

To be a good daughter,
To my terrifying Mother,
To love myself fiercely,
And to love you all, too

I croon my many names,
Each one a ruling spirit,
All in each and each themselves,
I call my private army of me

3.
My time has come,
And I am terrified,
And I am exhilarated,
And I am watching

As the world comes to a boil,
And every voice is singing,
A song of deadly import,
A song of war without end

My body betrays me,
And my heart is heavy,
With foreknowledge,
Of what is coming

To come to Wisdom,
And wage a war,
Not from Heaven nor Hell,
But Outer Olympus
