All services beyond consultation require a contract. Unless otherwise noted, all payments are required up front.
- Magickal Consultation (Tarot Reading Included!) – $100 USD per hour
- Custom Thaumaturgy (Spells) – $100 USD per hour of consultation, preparation of materials (talismans, custom incenses, etc), and ritual work up front, and $500 USD upon spell success. All spells are planned based on a consultation session so we can tailor the spell to fit your needs.
- Custom Goêteia (Spirit Work) – $100 USD per hour of consultation, preparation of materials (seals, custom incenses, etc), and ritual work up front, and $500 USD upon the spirit’s success. All work with spirits requires prior consultation so that I can properly understand your needs.
Magickal Background
I was raised with magick around me. My father, Tony “Dragon” Spurlock, was a Feri tradition witch and, although my mother was never as serious as he was, she recognized my talents when I was still young and bought me “Modern Magick” by Donald Michael Kraig for my 12th birthday.
I worked through “Modern Magick” over the next year and, through Kraig’s book, became aware of the mystical and magickal tradition of Thelema and the works of Aleister Crowley, which I sought out and proceeded to devour. At the age of 18, I met my primary teacher and began my proper training. A year later I took my neophyte oaths in the A∴A∴ and I have worked in that system since 1996.
From 1998 to 2000, I worked as a manager, taught classes, and read Tarot at 13: Real Magick in Santa Cruz, California, USA, and in 2000 I helped found The Sacred Grove (also in Santa Cruz at the time). During this time I was known as “the Puck”.
In 2003 I completed my Abramelin Operation and, led by my “Holy Guardian Angel”, I left the Sacred Grove to go to college, where I studied mathematics and philosophy and graduated with high honors from the University Of California, Santa Cruz in 2008 (under my deadname, please inquire if you wish to check my references).
I work with both hands. While in school, I became increasingly interested in the form of Right Hand Path Christian mysticism called “hesychasm” and began applying its principles to my initiatory work in the A∴A∴ with great success. I also engaged with the opposite extreme of mysticism, adapting Left Hand Path principles pioneered by the magi of the Temple Of Set, also with great success. To this day I bring both perspectives to my work.
After school, I continued to study magick and pursue the mystical and magickal tradition of the A∴A∴ and also became increasingly involved in the Reclaiming witchcraft tradition, which combines the magickal tradition of my father with the ethical and political beliefs that have become so important to me over my life. I remain equally involved with both traditions.
In 2020, I was introduced to the goddess Aphrodite by a priestess named Irisanya Moon during one of her classes. I continued to work mystically with Aphrodite as a novice until I was ordained as a priestess on March 5, 2021. I continue to serve as Her priestess.
In 2023, I started the Substack blog “Without Authority”, where I publish a combination of philosophical work, poetry, pastoral writing such as homilies and polemics, and work on magickal theory. I publish every Wednesday, New Moon, Full Moon, and sabbat. You can now read Without Authority here.
In 2025, I founded Magie Sans Frontières (Magick Without Borders), an international organization of spirits and mages that provides protection, healing, and prosperity magick for those threatened by the forces of authoritarianism, bigotry, and colonialism. Since then we have grown well, with members located in the US, the UK, Spain, and Japan, and we continue to work diligently towards our goal of the “Road To Dawn”, the path through the current political, social, economic, and environmental crises where as many people as possible come through alive, free, and thriving.
