Poem Celebrating The Moon written 5-6-23 (Happy New Moon, Everyone!)
Moon.
Moon?
Moon.
Moon!
You have filled me up
I am brought down and in
Shaped in Your silhouette
Cradled in the silver drippings
Your edges lay beneath my horizon
Hidden and submerged
Rising up and twisting
Sputtering as water drips from my lips
In your turning my body hurts
Your cycles shifting with my moods
Withholding blessed sleep
Always just beyond me
Where have you been
Oh ancient, oh maiden
I squint and glimpse mere outlines
Blinded and shivering in your cold light
