Poem written 6-7-24. Sequel to “Time Is A Monster”.

1. We are free, So it is said; Doomed to be free Hurled into time, And forced to choose; What else can you do? Before us, Lay more roads, Than we can ever see But looking back, It always seems, So inevitable 2. Time seems a monster, Until you consider, The alternative To eternally be, Exactly and only, What we always were To be trapped, In the only ever, That ever ever was What a monster, Seems Time; Until He’s gone 3. It is only then, That we realize, We are the monsters Poisoned and twisted, And trapped, In our sins We have no chance, To change the story, Or to grow anew We are left cold, For love, too, Is a transformation 4. So revel then, In every change, That lets us be better Revel then, In every moment, That lets us learn to love Revel then, In the yesterdays, Tinged ever with regret For we are, Well and truly, Doomed to be free
