Mystical poem written 10-7-24.

1. “Know Me”, You said, “And be free of all fear”, But that is not the pact, Between us, oh Beloved You made clear to me, That the path of Light, And Life, and Love, And even blessed Liberty Is a holy terror, Constant self-conquest, Reaching out in love, When all I want is to hide All of those little moments, Spent wondering why, Trying to have faith, When I can’t hear You 2. Mighty and moving, I find You everywhere, Messages written, Under every surface But, Blessed One, You terrify me, As I test the world, For patterns and meaning A daring witch, Fifty thousand fathoms, Out at sea, Without a life raft Steadily insisting, On giving away my heart, But always horrified, That I might lose my mind 3. Bless me, oh Divine One, Hear my prayers, Grant me love, For myself and others Strengthen my heart, So I might be loving, Even in my deepest, And furthest extremes Grant me wisdom, So that I might set, Boundaries, And hold the line And most of all, Nurture me, Beloved, In my Understanding, So that I might do the Work
