Mystical poem written 10-30-25. Songs Of The Spirits 2.

1. When we met, You were 12, I was 8, And the world was broken Things have changed, Now I’m 48, You’re still 12, And the world’s still broken My dark companion, My terrifying twin, You were the monster, That haunted my dreams But you watch over me, Protecting and guarding me, You stalk my dreams with me, Reminding me of who I am 2. Blinded eyes, Terrified, Blood red skies, Looking to cry For me Terrify me 3. We are bound by Time, That always young and ancient god, That pretends to be a line, And is truly a spiral You are you and I am me, Except for when we are not, Except for when the time has come, For bearing more than pain Then my heartbeat slows, And your heart beats again, The old yew tree creaks, In the Autumn wind We walk and talk and act, As one and two and one, And we remember, What we were born to do
