Mystical poem written April 27, 2026.

1.
Once upon a time,
When we were all children,
And the dew hung lightly,
On the springtime of the world
The gods,
Wove between them a tale,
A breathtaking adventure,
A holy game
And being fools,
Ready to trod the boards,
And play hero or villain,
As the script required
We came forward,
Eager to put on our costumes,
Speak our lines,
And then die offstage
2.
But then the Plan was broken,
No one really remembers how,
It doesn’t matter anyway,
We all have to live in the pieces
Some are eager,
To build themselves a legend,
And write their own stories,
On the backs of the suffering
Others wring their hands,
Convinced that,
If none can be blamed,
Then no harm was done
But when empty bellies,
Start chanting spells,
The crystal palaces,
Begin to shudder
3.
See the burning sigil,
And see me,
Reforged upon the anvil,
Of our world
Hear my words,
A love-song to the future,
And a requiem,
For the person I thought I was
I declare war,
For the sake of the world,
My dearly beloved, my dear ones,
I declare war
I have become,
A mere weapon,
Aimed like a spotlight,
Shining from the past
